Fall & Love

Add Beauty, Grace and Balance into this fall season...

As the seasons shift and the leaves begin to change colour, so do we.

We've spent the last few months using our energy to water the seeds we planted at the beginning of the year, we followed this up with collecting our harvest and realigning ourselves with our future goals. We have been using a lot of energy externally to manifest our desires through action. This deeply transformative Fall Equinox asks us to now turn our energy inwards and reflect on just how far we've come since the Spring Equinox earlier this year; what has come to fruition?

"Equinox" comes from the latin word meaning equal and "nox" meaning night. The sun crosses the equator from North to South creating equal length of day & night reflecting back to us the need to find BALANCE & ACCEPTANCE for where we're at; the "good" & the "bad".

"I welcome deeper integration of my shadow self as I move towards the understanding that I am equally Light & Dark, and both are meant to be accepted, respected, and harmonized"

Libra represents the epitome of BEAUTY & CHARM and are held in high regard for their obvious glamour, aesthetics, refined taste, tact, and attractiveness. This, mixed with the Mercury Rx happening in Libra, may be a good time to rethink your lifestyle, taste, your creative expression, environment, and/or aesthetic.

~ What update do you deserve, whether its in regards to your wardrobe, your body, your environment? ~ How can you take steps towards enhancing this beauty & feeling more confident in yourself and your environment/aesthetic?

During Libra Season it is crucial for us to examine whether the relationships we are continuing to water are helping to create a more balanced lifestyle, inviting peace, tranquility, and abundance, or if they are pushing us further out of alignment. Detach from whats draining you and instead spend time RELAXING and REJUVENATING; Libra loves the finer things in life.. YOU DESERVE THE BEST!

This equinoxe for me is like going through a New Year portal. I felt a strong call to cleanse my body and mind, to release old (toxic) habits and old beliefs to finish this end of the year in Beauty... Shining from the inside out. Oh yeah! Makes me stronger to write it again here :-) So I've decided to take on this fall a 2 week juice detox with David Wolfe. Starting week #2 as I'm writting and well... after some obvious struggles on week 1, I start to feel like I can actually do this! The hardest is to continue on with normal life, as a single mom, basically doing e-very-thing: running erons, work, tend the land, 5yr old child to feed etc. - while your stomach is only getting liquids! One day at a time... finding alternatives like breathing deeply when my thoughts get a little nervous or frustrated - does help!

10 STEPS TO FIND BALANCE THIS FALL

1. Make a clear intention for this passage of the season and write it down

2. Cleanse your body with a little detox of your own level of will and discipline (just taking out automatisms on coffee and tobacco breaks, wine & beer summer indulgences, over eating bread or ice creams..... you know) 3. Feed your guts with good healthy organic juices & fermented foods. Where is your digestive system at? If you need a little kick, find a complete formula in our Digestive Support Tincture 4. Take some immune boosting tinctures Immune Boost Tinture and feed your microbiome with our gut health powerhouse formula Folk Fire Cider 7. Invite yourself to indulge in Self-Love with some BodyCare line of your choice... 8. Wake up every morning saying "I am beautiful, I am bountiful, I am bliss!" (hhmm, yes out loud) 9. Make some arrangements to upgrade your environement and uplift yourself from draining relationships. Assert yourself in your intuitive truth. 10. Become Love. Truly and deeply Love yourself, do not wait that others will fulfill that for you!

My garden has been super blessed by my favourite herb of all : Lemon Balm Melissa Officinalis... I absolutely love this fragrant herb! I literally use it daily as a soothing tea and a teaspoon of my new Sleepy Time Lemon Balm glycerite to calm my 5yr old to bedtime.

Here's a DIY recipe if you have access to fresh herb & time!

FRESH LEMON BALM TINCTURE PEACE RECIPE.

  • 50g Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) flowering tops

  • 100ml high-proof alcohol (I use vodka 100 proof for extracting the volatile oils best)

Step 1: HARVESTING

The best time to harvest lemon balm is early in the morning before the sun hits the leaves or becomes too intense, this helps preserve the volatile oil content of the plant. The volatile oils and medicinal compounds in leaves become most concentrated just before a plant begins to bloom. When you see the first few flower buds form, it is a perfect time to harvest.

When making fresh tinctures it is ideal to place the processed herb into the alcohol immediately after harvesting. If you need more time, then place your harvested herb in a sealed container in a cool location and use as soon as possible.

Step 2: ADDING MENSTRUUM

Chop the freshly harvested herb very finely. Make sure to do this out of direct sunlight as the volatile oils will escape in the heat of the sun. Place the finely chopped herb in a class jar and pour the alcohol over top. You may need to press the herb down to submerge it or top it up with a bit more alcohol to cover. The herb will settle more after a day or so of being in the alcohol. Make sure to label your jar!

Step 3: INFUSING

Let the mixture sit in a cool dark place for a minimum of two or three weeks. You don’t need to shake fresh-plant tinctures as they create their own natural osmotic current.

Step 4: STRAINING & BOTTLING

After two weeks or so you can squeeze and press out the spent herb material through muslin and discard. You now have a finished tincture ready to pour into labeled tincture bottles.

To use: Take 1- 3mls of tincture as needed, up to 3 times per day.

~ THE END ~

We appreciate your continued support and love to see you constantly growing & evolving with us!

Fall & Love blessings, MamaSeed
