I invite you to enter into plant medicine by making a parchment from the echo of your life in the visible and invisible worlds. The canvas can be used as an altar mat or a talisman, imbued with your medicine plants.
The Ritual.
It consists of an exchange around a tea pot filled with plants, each one recounts its plant poetry then we go out foraging, we collect the plants and place them one by one on the fabric. This is followed by the process of impregnating the pigments onto the parchment. Hammering, then pigment/fabric mordanting and final bathing before drying the fabric.
Each stage of the journey takes place as if we were crossing a forest, along a river, as if we were crossing a dry stone wall which shelters herbs strongly attached to the mineral world. We learn to look, the plants appear as we walk and touch…
